When we began the Producing Alternative Media class, I was initially hesitant and uninterested. However, as I watched the lectures and connected with Professor Powell, my mindset completely shifted. I’ve always been focused on the traditional 'director, writer, producer' roles for movies and TV, never considering the broader range of things I could produce.

 

I love being creative when it comes to cinematic storytelling, but thinking about board games, immersive experiences, and web series—especially in relation to my featured film idea, Enchanted Memories—was a new and challenging experience for me. I had never factored these elements into my planning before. Professor Powell made the class engaging, and the content she presented opened my mind to these new possibilities. Moving forward, I will always consider what else can be produced alongside a film, a board game or an immersive experience, anything to expand the reach and depth of my projects.
